【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodprovidesaproceduretodeterminetheabilityofaphotovoltaic(PV)moduletoendurethelong-termeffectsofperiodic"hotspot"heatingassociatedwithcommonfaultconditionssuchasseverelycrackedormismatchedcells,single-pointopencircuitfailures(forexample,interconnectfailures),partial(ornon-uniform)shadowingorsoiling.Sucheffectstypicallyincludesoldermeltingordeteriorationoftheencapsulation,butinseverecasescouldprogresstocombustionofthePVmoduleandsurroundingmaterials.1.2Therearetwowaysthatcellscancauseahotspotproblem;eitherbyhavingahighresistancesothatthereisalargeresistanceinthecircuit,orbyhavingalowresistancearea(shunt)suchthatthereisahigh-currentflowinalocalizedregion.Thistestmethodselectscellsofbothtypestobestressed.1.3Thistestmethoddoesnotestablishpassorfaillevels.Thedeterminationofacceptableorunacceptableresultsisbeyondthescopeofthistestmethod.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
